Blogs are monitored? No freedom in blogging?

KUALA LUMPUR: A special unit has been set up to monitor postings on the Internet that can cause disunity and racial tension among the people, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein. He said the unit would gather the expertise of the ministry's enforcement unit, police, Attorney-General's Chambers and the judiciary to look into such cases.

"We understand this new landscape and the special unit is already in place to monitor such activities,” he said Thursday.

Hishammuddin was asked to comment on a Facebook page that insulted Malay sensitivities.

The Selangor Federation of Peninsular Malay Students, Gagasan Pendidikan Melayu Malaysia and Perkasa lodged a police report against the page at the Dang Wangi police station here Wednesday.

On another matter, Hishammuddin said his ministry never took sides when handling incidents involving mosques and churches.

He said although some people had the perception that the Government had acted slowly, it did not mean it was "proscrastinating."

"For some cases, it takes longer for us to do the investigation. People need to understand that certain cases need more time to be solved.

"However, for the incident where paint was splashed at a surau, we managed to arrest the perpetrators within just one day and charge them," he said told reporters after visiting the Narcotics Rehabilitation Centre (Puspen) here Thursday.

He said although the ministry handled these cases impartially, certain parties turned them into issues to create hatred and disunity among the people.

When i read this news early in the morning yesterday, I feel really upset about blogs being monitored and the taking action thingy. I completely agree if actions are taken against those who post racial remarks, launching personal attacks against religion and etc but taking actions on pety things such a making funny videos or something is really extra-ordinary. When i think, reflect and summarize all this. The picture below tells what i feel.

The history of Secret Society (Gangsters) in Malaysia

Secret society in Malaysia. Anywhere we go, secret society exist. Who actually started all this and the history of it remains unknown. What does it all mean?Today, with a limited time we have, i will explain the history of Indian Gangs in Malaysia and how it all starts.

A few Indian guys will be gathering in a bus stop or a nearby drain everyday . Usually they might even skip school if they’re studying and will be ever present to join the loitering session. Together with them will be few packs of cigarettes. Now, day after day , their friends will grow to a bigger number. They buy a RM 5 color spray, and then will spray out something on the side of the drain or on top of the bus stop to mark their group.

You see, calling the group a name is one thing. The other word is also seemingly interesting. The name can differ ranging from things to numbers. Usually in Malaysia, it is interesting enough to see all the secret society members loves mathematics so much that they name their group after a number. The real meaning behind the numbers is too astronomical to explain. Forgive me. Few famous secret societies in Malaysia , Geng 24 , Geng 36 , Geng 21 , Geng 08. Now, if you’re soft , i suggest you try to get a membership in Geng 9.

They first make out a name , take Longkang for an example. So, Longkang is their name. But then, there are few identities that can follow.

a) Geng Longkang
b) Longkang Kaingeh
b) Longkang Set
d) Tiga Longkang

So, the name had been created. Next they need to establish a place. Let’s say there is a nearby field near the drain, it will be their field. So, everyone should start recognizing it as Longkang field. Every member have to work their ass out day and night to keep members from other secret society out from their field. If there is any intruders, immediately they will be identified and a fight will broke out. After a few fights, usually the gang’s will be able to establish them self.

After these few fights, the gang would be able to identify who are the person who will fight and the other’s who wont. The cowards will be rejected and only the toughest stays. Each of them will be recognized with a nick name. Usually they will name them self after things for their first name and others will opt for animal names. For an example:

1) ‘Vetu’ Kumar
2) ‘Rok’ Mani
3) ‘Mettu’ Murugan
3) Pandi (Pig)
4) Nandu (Crab)
5) Tiger

Next, after naming and establishing them self, next comes money collection.Every member have to pay a certain amount every month as a membership fee. A one time registration fee is subject to changes but monthly payments remains. If it’s Geng 24, then everyone has to pay RM 24 every month. So goes for the others gangs. The payment will be kept by the leader. It is known that this payment is kept to bail out any gang members that is caught or jailed up. The remaining goes to sponsor cheap liquors and cigarettes. Schools are targeted and collection goes around to protect students. Every student who pays the monthly fee will be accepted as a member and be protected. They will be called ‘budaks’.

Next comes election. A very important part in forming a gang. One who fights the best and daring will be chosen as a leader. The following is the least minimum criteria to be a gang leader :

1) Should be daring and willing to fight anyone
2) Should handle weapons diligently
3) Should have been locked up in jail at least once
4) Have a few marks and sign of stitches in a visible place in their body(To mark that they have been in a few fights)
5) Should be a person without a brain. Should have no thinking capabilities.
6) Owns own transport and willing to travel to any school to fight.
7) Willing to fight extra hours just to protect the field.
8)Should be able to drink cheap liquors and smoke
9) Should be able to speak vulgar words fluently in Tamil, knowledge in vulgar words in other language such as Chinese and Malay will be an added advantage.

Above is the minimum criteria.Once the gang leader is chosen, what they need to do next is conquering. They will have to go and fight in a nearby fields and try to conquer other’s field. Once they’ve won the fight, the group who emerge victory will be able to rule another field . So, day by day their name will be high in the air and will rule few fields and drains in their housing area.

One new policemen will be transferred to the housing area and he will gun down all the gang leaders. The group dissolves and everyone runs away to another state hiding. Few committee members will be arrested and put in jail. The group will be gone all of a sudden. Until the person who is locked up is out from jail .Once he is out , there starts a new gang.

This is the cycle of secret society members. My dear friends, what you have read is what is happening. Do not try to explain to me about them because i live in a place where almost every existing secret society in Malaysia have their so called camp in my housing area.As interesting as this article might sound to be,it portrays the dark side of most Indian guys in Malaysia unfortunately.

Happy Merdeka Everyone!

Hi!

Its been a while since i didnt blog for sometime as i was too busy with my research, assignments and presentations this semester. But hey! i'm back to the world of blogging again. I would like to wish all Malaysians a very Happy Independence Day or Merdeka. Tommorow tuesday 31/08/2010 is a holiday and everyone seems to be celebrating independence day either in KLCC or at Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur. Please don't forget to take care of your safety while you are having good time there as there are many cases such as theft, handbag snatching and robbery happening nowdays. A good friend of mine just been robbed recently by some bad indian thugs when she was on her way back from temple. I seriously don't know what is going on with our Malaysian indian youths nowdays.

Don't blame me for my harsh comments about my own race (leave the others and lets talk about ours) but this guys seems not stopping.

When we busy complaining about police actions on the shootings of the criminals, we won't really understand the situation unless we ourselves experience being robbed by these scumbags and i think that the whole disagree agenda will turn otherwise instead.

My tips for all my blog readers as follows :

1. Do not carry any valuable things such as gold rings, alot of money and jewellery with you.(Just keep it in a safe place at home or in the place that you think is the best way to keep it safe)

2. Be alert all the time and check your surroundings. If you feel that there are some suspicious person standing behind you or near you, just try to avoid them and stand in the public place.

3. Don't show off your most expensive Nokia phone or leave it exposed as this gives a clear way for the thieves to run out together with your phone.

4. Do not walk alone in dark places or lonely narrow roads as there are potential
dangers waiting there.

5. If you are being followed by someone that you don't know, the best way is to run as fast as you can to nearby police booth or ask help from the citizens whom will help you in case you are in danger.

Thats all for today and i hope you will have nice time with you family and friends. Happy merdeka again!

English Vs National Language (PPMSI...hahaha)

I had listened to a very interesting letchure in the class, today and co-incidentally, the subject about PPMSI was brought to my attention . Its none other than the "famous" PPMSI (rearrange the letters if you want) which stands for teaching English and Maths in Malaysian Language. Its hard to believe that the policy had been changed so fast after its implementation few years back by our famous Dr Tun. The question is... What is going to happen to our young generation later in future? About the word 'homework' which attracted my attention today, the questions should be asked to the authorities is Have you done proper 'homework' before implementing science and english in mathemathics? Why the original language that we learned Maths and Science was not maintained from beginning until today?? I know this question wont have its answer as people has been becoming so dumb to think the pros and the cons of this PPMSI.

Now, if you watch the current news, the town school PIBG (Parents and Teachers Association) is going against the ministry for changing the Mathemathics and Science into Main Language). I just wonder what is going to happen after this? are they going to say that for RURAL SCHOOLS, Science and Maths will be taught in National Language and for TOWN SCHOOLS, it will be taught in English (PPMSI back to its business) Gosh! We will be a jokers then..

Still can't agree with me? Take universities as example. how many students can converse well in English? Do you guys aware that there are many non-english speakers struggling to present and do their assignments in English? I had seen many guys and girls in the campus are fighting for the rights of the language, that is okay but why dont you take some steps to learn and improve English? Are you still going to blame English for another 20 to 50 years? I'm asking myself what i should do now for my children in the future? The best answer....you guys can predict....:)

Mallu girl story completed- Mission Accomplished

Mallu girl already asked for forgiveness after a few banging by all true tamilians who happens to read my blog and other bloggers.

Makkez Blog :

Hey Miss Mallu,
You have the guts to give me a warning to ‘delete
my post’ but don’t have the guts to come back here and continuously argue for
the sake of defending your own ‘race, culture and religion’?
LOL, if you hate
Tamils so much, why the hell you went and joined the “THR Raaga” group? Don’t
they air only Tamil songs?
You want me to speak in Tamil? Mix around with
Tamil? Be one of u all? Follow Tamil culture – Thaipusam, Ponggal, etc? And
finally marry a Tamil guy? Hmm….in your dreams!
Are you mad or something?
What Thaipusam has to do with being a Tamil? Won’t you pray to Lord Muruga just
because you are a Malayalee? Gosh, people like you makes me wanna puke badly.
I seriously didn’t knew how they chose you to be a ‘model’, ‘cover girl’,
‘porn star’ or whatever but if they were to see your comments here, they might
have to think twice about keeping in touch with a racist minded prick like you.

Mallu girl and her "non-racist" email

I have this habit of checking my referrers every now and then and as I was checking it yesterday, there was an incoming link from a Facebook Group topic. I was happy at first knowing the fact that someone is discussing about one of my blog posts in Facebook but to my surprise, the group was “Malaysian Malayalees“. Oh, there it goes again. This time, it was something new. Not Mallu guys, no more “why we should be different” topics and no more “no mix marriages” topics. They were discussing on an email being circulated by a Malaysian Mallu girl in a Yahoo! Malayalees-related group (Source: From the topic starter). I’m not sure where the email was circulated at first and how many people would have received it but one thing for sure, the writer seems to be so daring to the extent that she puts her name in the end of her email. As for when the email was sent, well, based on the screenshot below (via Google Cache), the email was sent exactly 2 months ago. It is quite a pity though that I’ve never came across this email earlier but anyway, it’s better late than never.

To: All Malaysian Malayalees

I have comments and suggestions about this association and all Malayalees. There are few things that I need to say and hopefully most of you can take this, realize it and change for the better. For our information and as we all know that Hindi is a national language for Indians (not only in India). In Malaysia, Bahasa Malaysia & English is used for our daily routine. Malayalam is our Malayalee mother language. As an Indian, we should fluent in Hindi language at least the basic. And the culture of Bollywood. As a Malayalee, we should maintain and modernize our culture (Such as Bollywood - modernized Indian culture). This is for the eye of global. What most people love to see and that is what we suppose to expose it. I realize that many of our
Malayalees are following “Tamil” culture and speaking in their language. That is
why some of us who doesn’t know to speak “Tamil” are victims for the Tamil’s
critics. Do not be surprise when they say “You are an Indian and must know how
to speak in Tamil”. It always happens to me. In this case, they do not know what
and who is Indian suppose to be. They thought us to be “Tamil” not as an Indian
(actually). It’s their revenge, so that all Indians able to promote their language and culture since they are been rejected by the Malaysian society. They cause so many problems such as “Hindraf”, gangsters and more.

We Malayalees know that “Tamil” people are who and what are the problems will occur in future if we meet with them. They are not supposed to be allowed in our community and association. Even any of our matters. We can make a good partnership with those other Malaysians Race who is non-Tamils. There are
some Tamils in our association because the rules & regulations in our society are not strict enough to check every member’s identifications. This association is only and for only Malayalees. That is what we call All Malaysian “Malayalees” Association. Every Indian race has their own association. For example; Punjabi / Telegu (Co-operate and good relationship among own community, maintain & modernized of culture & people). Take this an example to build our True Malayalees.

This is not a racism statement. But to protect our Malayalees name,
culture, people and future. Hope for the best!
Thank you.

Regards,
Presana Narayanan

As funny as it may sound, she wrote all that and even mentioned that those are “not racism statement”. Not racism statement my foot! The moment I finished reading that mail, I quickly did a search for that person in Facebook and surprisingly, a girl’s profile came up (And that girl was ‘Presana Narayanan’). Thank god she made her profile to be “public”. I looked around her profile just to ensure that she was the one who wrote that email and the first thing that I decided to do was to check her “Groups“. She DID joined some of those groups related to Malayalees. Oh, there comes my first hint. Then, I noticed that she is having her own website :http://www.presanagraphics.webs.com In which if you clicked her “About Me” page, you will notice the following:

Ethnic Group: Malaysian Malayalee (Indian)

Well, I guess that I should start adding an “Ethnic Group:” detail in my “About Me” page as well.
Now, with her name being stated there as the author of the email and having joined some groups related to Malayalees in Facebook, I was curious to know what she gotta say about that email as I DID sent her a message in Facebook yesterday itself asking whether did she really wrote that email but to my despair, no reply till now. But, I could still see her taking some “Facebook quizzes” like 3 hours ago. I believe most of us would have been “immuned” to the content of the email above but this particular email by Presana Narayanan seems to be interesting. Dear all, I would appreciate if any of you could kindly send her a message in Facebook asking for clarification on this matter and let me know if she replies you. In addition to that, please let me know should you guys have any further details about the email above. Click the link below for her Facebook profile:Presana Narayanan’s Facebook And by the time I’m writing this, the Facebook Group topic that I mentioned earlier has been deleted for somewhat reason. I could still remember that some of the posters were condemning her email so badly. To you guys, thank you for being civilised. To whoever that wrote the email above, **** you.
